VibeMassage is designed with privacy-first architecture. We collect only the data you explicitly provide and store it exclusively on your device:
- Custom Presets: Your personalized massage configurations (vibration intensity, duration, selected sounds) - stored locally only
- User Preferences: App theme selection, sound preferences, and interface customization - stored locally only
- Session History: Optional local records of your massage sessions (if you choose to enable this feature)
We do NOT collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Device information or hardware identifiers
- Analytics or usage tracking data
- Any form of behavioral or activity monitoring
2. How We Use Your Information
All data collected is used exclusively for providing you the app's functionality:
- Your custom presets are used to remember your preferred massage settings
- Your preferences ensure the app operates according to your choices
- Session history (if enabled) helps you track your wellness activities
We do NOT use your data for:
- Marketing or advertising purposes
- Selling or sharing with third parties
- Creating user profiles or targeting
- Building behavior models or analytics
3. Data Storage and Security
All your data stays on your device. VibeMassage does not transmit, upload, or synchronize any data to external servers:
Local-Only Storage Architecture: Your custom presets and preferences are stored in Android's secure SharedPreferences system, encrypted at rest by your device's security layer.
- Android Secure Storage: Uses Android's built-in encryption (File-Based Encryption on Android 7.0+)
- No Cloud Sync: Zero cloud infrastructure - your data never leaves your device
- No Backup to Cloud: Data is not included in Google cloud backups unless explicitly configured by you at device level
- Device Lock Protection: If your device is locked, your data remains encrypted and protected
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
VibeMassage does not share your data with any third parties:
- No Third-Party Analytics: We use no analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
- No Advertising Networks: Zero advertisement integration - the app contains no ads
- No Social Media Integration: We don't integrate with or share data to social platforms
- No Tracking Libraries: No third-party SDKs for tracking, profiling, or data collection
- No Data Brokers: Your information is never sold, rented, or provided to data brokers
Exception: Data may only be shared if required by law (e.g., court order, legitimate government request), and only the minimum data legally necessary.
5. Permissions Explained
VibeMassage requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality:
- VIBRATE Permission: Required to control your device's vibration motor for massage therapy functionality
- WAKE_LOCK Permission: Allows the app to keep the device awake during active massage sessions
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE Permission: Enables the app to run massage sessions in the background with a persistent notification
Permissions NOT requested: Camera, Microphone, Location, Contacts, Calendar, File Access (beyond app-specific data)
6. Children's Privacy
VibeMassage is suitable for ages 13+. In compliance with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and GDPR:
- No Child-Specific Data Collection: We don't collect data specifically from children under 13
- Parental Guidance: For users 13-17, parental guidance is recommended for appropriate use
- No Targeted Content: No age-targeted advertising or content
- Transparent Terms: Clear, understandable privacy practices accessible to all users
7. Your Privacy Rights
As VibeMassage operates with local-only data storage, you have complete control:
