1. Zero-Tolerance Policy
Pookies ("we", "us", or "our") maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy towards child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We are committed to preventing, detecting, and reporting any activities that compromise the safety of children. Any account found to be involved in the creation, sharing, transmission, or facilitation of CSAM/CSAE will be permanently banned immediately, and all relevant details will be reported to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
2. CSAM/CSAE Prevention & Moderation
To keep our private spaces safe and secure, we implement several key mitigation strategies:
- Restricted Space Mechanics: Spaces are strictly limited to exactly two connected accounts. Broad public feeds, discovery modules, and group chats do not exist within Pookies, which eliminates the risk of public propagation of harmful content.
- Metadata Checking: Any user-submitted profile metadata and custom status texts are cross-referenced using algorithmic checks to detect and block explicit keywords and inappropriate content.
- Automatic Blocking: Accounts engaging in suspicious automated activity, pattern violations, or spam are instantly suspended pending verification.
3. Reporting & Enforcement Mechanisms
We provide clear paths for reporting child safety concerns, CSAM, or CSAE:
- In-App Reporting: Users can flag concerns or report profiles directly from the settings and profile screens of the application.
- Web Reporting: Safety reports can be sent directly to our security team via the Support & Assistance Page by raising an urgent support request.
- Review & Response SLA: All reports flagged for child safety are treated with the highest priority and will be reviewed and acted upon within 12 hours.
4. Mandatory Legal Reporting
In accordance with global child safety laws, including United States federal law (18 U.S.C. ยง 2258A) and equivalent local regulations, Pookies immediately reports any confirmed instances of CSAM/CSAE to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other regional law enforcement agencies. We fully cooperate with law enforcement requests to assist in investigation and prosecution.
